Where will my session be held?
You can choose whether you would like your session to be in the comfort of your own home or at a location of your choice (park, beach, bush etc.) If you are unsure, I can recommend a number of great photography locations in the Illawarra.
What time will my session be?
If your session is outdoors, early morning or evening is the best time for shooting.
If it is indoors, during the day when there is plenty of light is best.
What should I wear?
Keep it simple, you want to stand out in the photo, not your clothing.
Clothes shouldn’t match exactly but should tone in with one another. It is a good idea to choose a colour palette consisting of two or three colours and stick to that, for example, “blues and taupes”, “blues, greys and greens”, “pinks, reds and white”. The options are endless but don’t wear too many colours at once. Layers and textures look great.
Solid colours tend to photograph better than prints and patterns. Logos, writing and branding can be distracting so avoid these as well.
Avoid trends that will date, go for simple and classic rather than up-to-the-minute trends.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
If your session is outdoors and the weather is bad, it may have to be recheduled or relocated.
